Registration for Toyotafest closed, we’ll see you on October 17

October 6th, 2026 by

Atkins Kroll Guam is putting the final touches on what will be Guam’s largest gathering of Toyota vehicles as Toyotafest 2026 takes over the Atkins Kroll Guam showroom and grounds from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.

Registration is now closed as interest in this year’s event has reached an all-time high, with over 100 applications submitted across both competitive and non-competitive categories and more than 1,000 attendees expected to join the celebration of Toyota culture, customization and community.

“We’re seeing an incredible variety of entries this year, from the 1980s and 1990s classics to modern builds that have been extensively customized,” said Trina Cruz, AK Marketing and Brand Engagement Director.

“The lineup reflects the diversity of Guam’s automotive scene. We have everything from lowered street builds and race-inspired trucks to lifted off-road rigs and unique imported vehicles that immediately turn heads. Toyotafest will showcase the passion, creativity and craftsmanship of Guam’s Toyota community, and we’re excited and ready to provide this space where enthusiasts, clubs and families can come together and celebrate that shared passion in a safe, family-friendly environment,” added Cruz.

TOYOTAFEST PARTICIPANT FEATURE, A LABOR OF LOVE

Some vehicles are built for speed. Others are built with heart. Manny Aquino’s 1982 Toyota Starlet Hatchback is both—a years-long project that grew into a labor of love, fueled by family support, and teamwork.

Aquino will showcase his 1982 Toyota Starlet Hatchback at Toyotafest, a project he proudly describes as a true labor of love. The Starlet’s journey began years ago when it was acquired with the support of his then-girlfriend, now wife, Sina, and later transformed into a street drag car with the help of his brother Arlan Aquino and fellow TDC teammates.

His passion and appreciation for cars started at a young age, inspired by watching the older generation of racers and cruisers, along with his older brother’s 1983 Toyota Pickup. Today, his Starlet stands as a reflection of that passion and dedication. The hatchback features modifications which includes a custom back-half tube chassis, narrowed Toyota 8-inch rear end with a four-link suspension setup, QA1 coilovers, custom floor pans, and rear tubs designed to accommodate aggressive 15×12 wheels and tires. Up front, the build incorporates a narrowed front end with Aerospace hubs, brakes, drilled rotors, and a 5-lug conversion.

TOYOTAFEST PARTICIPANT FEATURE, PURPOSE-BUILT ADVENTURE MACHINE

For Anthony Unchangco, choosing a Toyota Tacoma was an easy decision. Influenced by family, friends, and a lifelong passion for automotive culture, he was drawn to the Tacoma’s iconic third-generation design, impressive off-road capability, and reputation for reliability.

“What inspired me to get a Tacoma was the ability to go off-roading and build something different in terms of style, performance, and engine modifications, all while having a vehicle that’s reliable,” said Unchangco.

A proud member of MTX (Made To Excite), Anthony has transformed his 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road into a purpose-built adventure machine. Equipped with a Magnuson supercharger, Eaton lockers, custom front and rear bumpers, 35-inch mud tires, and an expedition-ready roof rack, the build blends performance, capability, and style. Every modification was carefully selected to elevate its off-road potential while creating a unique presence both on the trail and on the street.
